Connie, Denver Registered Dietitian

Hi there, I’m Connie!

Registered Dietitian

I’m glad you’re here. I’m a Registered Dietitian by trade but have more of a whole-human approach rather than the traditional clinical approach when it comes to nutrition therapy.

I have always appreciated (the few) clinicians that have truly made an effort to get to know me and what my body has been through before giving me any sort of advice or support. So, I provide the same empathetic and curious ear for my clients.

I started my own practice to give the best possible care that values my client’s lived experiences, unique backgrounds, current circumstances, and hopes and dreams. I truly want to help you build a better relationship with food, overall health, and your body through respectful, weight- neutral care. I do not pretend to know it all and will always collaborate with other members of your health care team if you have them. Also, I promise to make you laugh. I’m big on humor of all sorts, being made a member of the dead parent club at age 26, my dark humor is superb.

I’ve been a Denver resident for 5 years and very much enjoy running my practice here.  In my free time, you can find me in the mountains skiing, hiking, or reading by a stream… enjoying a lavender latte while eavesdropping on people’s conversations before heading to yoga, or traveling to see my family and friends spread out across the US. Although I was born and raised in Los Angeles, my favorite place in the whole world is the small strip of Lake Michigan on the tip of Indiana.

I believe nutrition should support living a full life, not distract from it.

If you feel ready to let go of letting the scale, food label, diet, or size on your jeans dictate your life, we may be a great fit in working together.

My Nutrition Philosophy

You know that phrase,
“You are what you eat?”

Yikes. How reductive!

I’m here to tell you that you are so much more. You are a product of your lived experience, your genetic makeup, and yes things like diet, exercise, and sleep. In our sessions, I hope to teach you that you are much more than a number on a scale, size on your pants, or the food on your plate.

In our diet-obsessed culture it’s easy to feel like we need external rules and plans to inform our eating and health decisions when really, the answer is often already within us. I help clients reach a place of increased attunement to their bodies and help them expand their nutrition and health knowledge. My mission is to walk with you on your journey to a flexible and nourishing relationship with food, exercise, and health, rather than a strict and stressful one.
