This is different for every client. We will discuss this together at our initial session to find what works best for you and your goals.

Initial sessions are 75 minutes long and follow up sessions are 55 minutes.
Initial sessions are a lot of information gathering. I really want to understand you and your unique circumstances before we talk health and nutrition goals.
Follow up sessions are for working on those specific goals. Think more zooming in on specific areas you’d like support in and I’ll provide tools or a listening ear to help achieve those goals.

In some capacity yes, however, as a thin bodied clinician I acknowledge my limitations and lack of lived experience in a body other than a thin one. I am happy to provide an emailed list of clinicians (therapists and RDs) in larger bodies who provide dedicated body image, fat acceptance, and body liberation work.

Weight neutral means that your weight (if taken) will simply be a data point, not a point to which the entirety of your progress lies. Weight loss does not mean better health and weight gain does not mean worse health. We have been inundated by BMI charts that lack any real validity and I strive to teach my clients that they are more than a number on the scale. I’ll use other markers of health such as your lab values, your reported energy, your sleep, and ability to engage in joyful movement as better indicators of overall health.
